Support for Rural Development in India
Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited, the Group's company in India, works with multiple organizations, including NGOs and NPOs, to carry out social contribution activities such as supporting rural development.
For example, together with Karmaputra Charitable Trust, which operates in rural areas of Ahmedabad, it provides support for "Child Education", "Women Empowerment", "Feed to Needy" and "Old Age Home". In support of "Women Empowerment", it provides business training in "sewing and embroidery" to help people make a living. In 2023, it provided support to 50 people.
