Basic Policy on Disclosure

The Sompo Group (the "Group") shall prescribe this Basic Policy based on Basic Policy on Internal Controls in order to promptly disclose the clear and accurate information on the group’s business standing and status of various efforts so that its customers, shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders can obtain the information equally, and to make it useful for them.

1. Operation Policy

(1) Statutory disclosure
The Group shall disclose information in an accurate and easy-to-understand manner in accordance with the Companies Act, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, the Insurance Business Act, and other relevant laws and regulations.
(2) Timely disclosure
The Group shall disclose information in a quick, accurate and easy-to-understand manner in accordance with the Securities Listing Regulations of financial instruments exchanges and other regulations.
(3) Other
In addition to the above information, with respect to information that helps customers, shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders determine the status of the Group, the Group shall proactively disclose the information in an accurate, quick, and easy-to-understand manner.

2. Scope of Operation and Execution Systems

(1) The Group shall disclose the information through the system designated by the Financial Services Agency and financial instruments exchanges. In addition, the Group shall strive to disclose the Group’s information that is highly equitable and useful to its customers, shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders through the Sompo Holdings official website, Annual Reports, news releases, and by other means.
(2) Regarding information disclosed under this Basic Policy, the Group’s purpose of disclosing it is not to solicit investments but to communicate the status of the Group in an accurate, quick, and easy-to-understand manner.
