Hosting Programming Events at Schools
Amid a dramatic change in society brought about by IT, SOMPO Systems Inc., as a strategic IT company of the SOMPO Group, believes that support for children is necessary. Since 2016, we have been partnering with Code for Everyone to hold programming events at schools.
In 2020, programming had been required in elementary schools. There is a growing need for "programming education as a cultural knowledge to understand technology used in life." Code for Everyone has the vision of "a country where everyone can enjoy technology creatively" and we agree with this vision.
In 2023, we held a programming event at Tama area of Tokyo where Sompo Systems' headquarters is located. In order to support local children in enjoying technology creatively. 70 children from two elementary schools participated in that event.
