Overview of the Sompo Group Awards
The Sompo Group Awards are a group-wide internal award program that recognizes ideas and initiatives based on each employee’s My Purpose which then lead to the realization of Sompo’s Purpose.
Marking its third year since its inception in fiscal 2022, the fiscal 2025 awards were held under the concept of “Cheering on Every Challenge: Connecting and Being Connected.” The initiative aimed to foster a culture that values diversity and human connections by supporting and celebrating the challenges undertaken by every Group employee, thereby contributing to Sompo’s value creation.

About the selection process for this fiscal year
In fiscal year 2025, to further enhance employees’ “engagement and sense of unity,” we introduced a new “Supporter System” in which employees selected through open recruitment from each company participated in the judging process. The selection process, which incorporated diverse perspectives, not only increased transparency but also contributed to the supporters’ own “learning” and the fostering of new “connections.”In addition, many employees participated in the Group-wide employee vote (final selection), and by learning about the diverse businesses and initiatives of colleagues both in Japan and overseas, this served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the sense of unity within the Group.
