Sompo Group regards proper handling of personal information as an important social responsibility and shall make every effort to comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all other applicable laws and rules and to protect the personal information of our customers.
- Sompo Group shall acquire and use personal information on its customers in a fair and lawful manner and to the extent that such information is necessary for our business. In addition, except when required to do so by law, we shall restrict the use of personal information to the scope of purpose of use notified to the individual or publicly announced.
- Sompo Group shall not provide third parties with a customer’s personal information without the customer’s prior consent, except when required to do so by law.
- Customer personal information shall be shared with other Sompo Group companies for providing customers with information about products and services and for Sompo Group’s operational management.

- Sompo Group shall, except as required by law, never provide personally-related information to a third party without first confirming that the third party has obtained the customer's consent, if the third party is expected to acquire the personally-related information as personal data.
- Sompo Group shall make every effort to prevent customer personal information leakage, loss, or damage, taking appropriate security control measures. In cases where handling of customer personal information is entrusted to an external party, we shall take all necessary and appropriate measures to supervise the entrusted party.
- Sompo Group shall thoroughly educate and instruct its employees on the proper handling of customer personal information. Moreover, we shall constantly review our management systems for protecting personal information and make improvements as necessary.
- Sompo Group shall respond rapidly and appropriately to complaints and requests for consultations about the handling of personal information. In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we shall respond appropriately to customer requests for the disclosure or revision of personal information we have on file, and the disclosure of records provided by the third party.
- Sompo Group shall never acquire, use, store, or provide third party with specific personal information among customers’ personal information in 1 to 3 above, excluding the case as stipulated in the regulations.
